"High school trauma drama"

Films: Ma (2019)

Alias: Sue Ann Ellington

Type: Natural

Location: Civilized Area/Haunted Home

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Many, many of the serial killers seen on this site have been motivated by some kind of horrible event in their past. Be it murdered relatives or society wronging them, there's always an excuse. Ma here had one too, but it hardly justified nearly taking the lives of those teens.

History: Sue Ann "Ma" Ellington was a rather unpopular student growing up in high school. Tricked into thinking she mattered for a moment, she was cruelly put at the center of a sexual prank that left her humiliated and broken. Now, the bullies have grown up, and had kids of their own. Ma, still not over the worst day of her life, decides to invite these kids over to drink and have fun. However, she's intent that they stay for way longer than usual, and she will not hesitate to torture and kill to make it permanent. And once her old tormentors show up, all bets are off.

Notable Kills: Running a girl over before blaring "September", and injecting the one who ruined her life with dog blood to give him a fatal clot. Sheesh.

Final Fate: After Ma's murderous habits go too far, her own daughter steps in and rescues the teens after stabbing her mom in the back and setting the whole house on fire. Overcome with grief and some satisfaction over obtaining her revenge, she sits next to her old bully's corpse as the flames consume her.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-Don't party at strangers' houses, kids. For all you know, they could be mentally unhinged killers desperately trying to cling to their youth while destroying anyone they see as similar to those who ruined them. Ma is a fairly tragic murderer, but that doesn't change how horrific she can be, even to those who end up living.

Trivia: -Ma was played by Octavia Spencer, who won an Oscar for her role in "The Help", and has since then gone to star in several other acclaimed films.

-Originally, this film would have ended with Ma sewing the teens' decapitated heads onto each other's bodies. This was a little too messed up to be accepted, even for Blumhouse.

The nicest advice from a serial killer.
Take a wild guess how they all died.
Remember. We're all human here.

We are NOT going to show how the others died. Trust us.

Sometimes, a sharp knife takes too much time.
"How do you do, fellow kids?"
